Ing-eo Collection - Porcelain Carps - Sarang Porcelain

Sarang Porcelain presents the Ing-eo collection, a fine porcelain tribute to one of the most powerful symbols of Korean and Asian culture: the carp or ing-eo .

For centuries, the carp in Korea has embodied perseverance, transformation, and success in the face of adversity. An ancient Korean legend tells of a courageous carp, swimming against the current of the turbulent waters of the Yellow River, who managed to cross the legendary Dragon Gate (Yongmun). Through this self-transcendence, it was transformed into a celestial dragon, a symbol of elevation, strength, and accomplishment.

This mythical inspiration permeates each piece in the collection: black carp, sober and deep, evoke wisdom, quiet strength and inner quest. Their discreet but powerful presence invites contemplation.

The vibrantly colored carp embody vital energy, prosperity, and joy. Their brilliance evokes traditional Korean frescoes, while their dynamic shapes recall the ripples of water, somewhere between calm and movement.

Each carp in the collection is imagined and modeled by hand by Anne Lopez in her Sarang Porcelaine workshop, according to the expertise of exceptional porcelain. Each detail is thought out and meticulously cared for to convey the poetry of the gesture, the nobility of the material, and the soul of the myth.

This Ing-eo collection combines the elegance of contemporary porcelain with the power of Korean legends . It invites you to welcome into your space the quiet power of the symbol and the beauty of movement frozen in porcelain.
